During Macfrut 2013, Giampaolo Del Pane presented its new cooperation with European company Sofruileg, specialised in the launch of new fruits on the market and owner of the "Nergi" kiwiberry or mini-kiwi (Actinidia arguta) brand. The name was chosen for its assonance with the English word "energy", which is one of the nutritional characteristics of the product.
Thanks to the new agreement, Vivai Dal Pane is able to offer this variety in Italy.

Dorì yellow kiwis (ex AC 1536), created by the Universities of Bologna and Udine and of which Summerfruit owns using rights, were also displayed at the stand at Macfrut 2013.

Finally, as regards the freeze problems in Chile, Giampaolo Dal Pane, who also owns a branch there, reports: "The situation is serious, as the most productive kiwi and cherry areas of the country have been hit. The Chilean industry hasn't suffered such a hit in ten years - not even the earthquake in 2010 caused such damage. Temperatures reached 4,5-5 grades below zero and plants only had 5-10 cm of new growth."
