"Manfred van der Vlag: "Avocado program till March"

First Israeli Ettinger avocado's at Frootz

Fruit and vegetable importer Frootz has started the import of the new harvest of Israeli avocados. Last Saturday the first Ettinger avocado's arrived at Goes in De Meern. "We started with Ettinger and will follow the season with Hass and Pinkerton, so that we will have a nice program with avocado's from Israel to the end of March," Manfred van der Vlag explains.

"There is not a lot of new harvest on the market as yet, there are only some South African avocados in the way. People again want something new and we are therefore confident about a good season. With Ruti we have a top shipper available, who guarantees good volumes and a good oil content. I do not know whether we are the very first with the new harvest, but in any case we are one of the first. Now we have the sizes 12, 14, 16 and 18 available and next week the smaller sizes as well."
