Red peppers to be grown this year

BC Hot House Foods adds a new 11 acre greenhouse

BC Hot House Foods (BCHH) is pleased to announce a new 11 acre greenhouse facility has been added to its portfolio. Armand Vandermeulen of Green Valley Family Farms has built Bakerview Greenhouses in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada. This state of the art greenhouse will grow red peppers for the 2013 season with room for further expansion in 2014.

A proud member of the BC Hot House grower family for over 20 years, Vandermeulen applies passion and expertise in agriculture to focus on the taste and quality of his bell peppers. Vandermeulen also grows red, yellow and orange bell peppers at a second greenhouse and packing facility in Abbotsford, known as Green Valley Farms.

"It is great to see someone like Armand that has the experience and passion from growing Big Taste bell peppers expanding for 2013 with plans for additional expansion of high-tech greenhouses in the coming years" says Mike Reed, President of BC Hot House.
