Steve Jobs' fruit diet lands Ashton Kutcher in hospital

Ashton Kutcher (34) stars in the upcoming film 'Jobs' as the controversial Apple founder Steve Jobs. The actor has personally discovered that this is not without danger. Kutcher took his role so seriously that he even took on Jobs' fruit diet ('fruitarism'), which is anything but ideal for the body. Eating only fruits and nuts is far too one sided, and so Kutcher's attempt ended in the hospital.

During the Sundance Film Festival Ashton Kutcher said: "I ended up in hospital two days before film. I was bent over in pain and my pancreas values were completely out of balance, it was terrifying."

Steve Jobs died in 2011 of pancreatic cancer, which probably made this incident all the more terrifying for Kutcher. In the US 'Jobs' will be shown starting the 19th of April 2013.
