Fairbridge Technologies

Capespan Exports benefits from ColdChain Thermodynamics

Fairbridge Technologies has a solid, long standing relationship with Maxim Integrated – manufacturers of the innovative Thermochron iButton range of temperature loggers. Fairbridge developed ColdChain Thermodynamics (CCTD) for use exclusively with Maxim’s iButton loggers. CCTD has been deployed and is used extensively by both exporters and importers of fresh produce worldwide, with more and more organisations opening their eyes to the possibilities of greater data management and supply chain transparency.

Capespan Exports are just one of many companies now benefiting from using ColdChain Thermodynamics – “Capespan Exports has chosen iButton and ColdChain Thermodynamics as their primary temperature monitoring system. CCTD has the ability to allow Capespan Exports to easily track which consignments have an iButton in and when it is downloaded without relying on other parties to supply this information,” says Keith Roxburgh of Capespan Exports

“Working together with Capespan Exports we have installed ColdChain Thermodynamics software at numerous receiver locations around the world. Their iButton temperature recorders are all linked to their web account. This means that when the iButtons are downloaded at any of these locations throughout the world, the data is seamlessly transferred back to Capespan Exports in South Africa immediately alerting them of any issues with a shipment," explains Tom Harrington, sales executive at Fairbridge. "On top of that Fairbridge supplies Capespan Exports with a complete ‘iButton management scheme’ which includes recycling the iButtons. Fairbridge also takes full responsibility for collecting, re-programming and returning iButtons to Capespan Exports so they can be reused."

Fairbridge offers this service to all of its customers using iButtons with ColdChain Thermodynamics.

You can see this solution in person by visiting the Fairbridge Techology stand at Fruit Logistica Berlin from the 6th to the 8th February, in Hall 23 – Stand F-01
