Peru: 28.7% increase in table grape export

At the end of this year Peru’s table grape export will have seen a 30.4% rise due to high demands in Holland, Hong Kong and the UK. Next year industry people anticipate export to rise with 28.7%, a number based on increasing demands from abroad. Also, new trade agreements have been made. New Zealand for instance, has recently signed a treaty with the South American country as part of the ‘Programa Oficial de Aseguramiento para la Exportación de Uva de Perú a Nueva Zelanda’.

The same happened in the US, where OAG Global announced the 2013 campaign for the Peruvian grape.

Between January and October the export of grapes saw a 151 million-dollar increase. Peru’s major foreign buyers are Hong Kong (20,9%), Holland (10,7%), Russia (9,5%) and the US (7,7%).
