Fresh fruit and vegetables on Global sourcing and durability

CBI present 23 suppliers from developing countries at Fruit Logistica 2013

The CBI presents 23 suppliers from Colombia, Egypt, Pakistan, Serbia, Guatemala, Ecuador, Peru, Kenya, Thailand and Senegal at Fruit Logistica 2013. The leading international fair will take place in the Messe Berlin, Germany from 6 to 8 February 2013 inclusive. The CBI pavilion is in hall 3.2 stand 23 in a joint stand with Holland Fresh Group. The CBI support a number of other companies, which are represented in their own country pavilions.

"Global sourcing" is more than a phrase at Fruit Logistica 2013, where the CBI will support 23 suppliers from nine developing countries. These suppliers from all over the world are actively looking for sustainable European partners and will be attended to by experienced specialists of the CBI for a period of 4 years.

These companies can form a consistent and sustainable source for a number of fresh products, such as pineapple, bananas, avocados, mangoes, grapes, citrus, beans, peas, herbs and more. They supply fresh fruit and vegetables outside of the European season and a wide assortment of exotic products, such as pomegranate, rambutan and mangosteen.

Each grower has invested strongly in the preparation required to attract successful partners from Europe, among which a GLOBALGAP-certification. In addition the companies have attended a strict CBI-training program in order to satisfy the standard norms for fresh fruit and vegetables from the European market. CBI regard them as reliable, consistent partners, who offer a first class quality level. All 23 companies are being assisted in the development of new markets.

You may meet these companies in the CBI pavilion, co-exhibitor of Holland Fresh Group, during Fruit Logistica 2013 in Berlin: hall 3.2 stand C23 and other selected stands, which are spread over the entire fair.
