Belgium: “No complaints in the carrot industry”
“Export prices are good as well, and I expect them to remain so. The carrots we’re handling now come directly from storage, upping costs. At least we have been able to harvest all the crops; in Belgium and Germany many carrots are still in the ground. It’s too wet to get them out. It remains to be seen if these crops make it to the market.”
“We are secretly hoping that England will take some of our stocks, because of the lousy weather conditions over there. But on the whole, export is good.
