Netherlands: WilkoFruit starts marketing Maroc Clementines

Dutch fruit company WilkoFruit has begun selling the first Maroc Clementines from the mountains of Beni Mellal. The items are marketed under a new label: Sweet Maroc. According to Wilko van der Zwaard “The quality is great this year. The clementines are a bit larger too: the extreme drought made some fruits fall off the branches, causing the remainder to grow larger.”

“We made the deliberate choice to start 3 weeks later than last year, so that the clementines are fuller, juicier and have a nice brix between 11 and 14. Also, the first shipments of our trusted brands are just coming in: Gaudias, Agrisouss, Sofia-Sud, Alpha, Tafraout, Primasouss, 1223 and Maroc Star by Agadir. We are looking forward to a promising season.”
