Alnatura: record turnover in jubilee year
The German organic supermarket chain Alnatura passes the 500 million Euro turnover 25 years after opening the first supermarket in Mannheim. In the last financial year 2011/2012 the company achieved a nett turnover of namely Euro 516 million. Compared to the previous year this means a growth of 11%. With that Alnatura develops quite a lot better in its jubilee year than the German foodstuff trade, but also better than the organic market, which only showed an increase of 10%.
Within the competing German foodstuff trade Alnatura in the meantime is in the top 30 companies. Götz Rehn, founder and managing director of Alnatura: "Our continuous growth we thank our client for, because they make it possible that Alnatura can do so many meaningful things for men and environment for a quarter of a century already."
At the moment Alnatura has 70 branches in 30 towns and nine federal states.
1,060 organic products have the Alnatura logo in the meantime. With that Alnatura is the hallmark with the biggest organic assortment in Germany
