The mandarin harvest has just begun in Zamora, Venezuela, and it is one of the best in recent years. It will be hard work, because 10 million baskets will be harvested up until early 2013, which represents 300 million kilos (30 per basket).
A grower from the state of Miranda informed that this year it is one of the best in terms of production.
"We will surpass last year's production by 25%, when we obtained 8 million baskets," he explained.
