Spain: Pedroñeras´ IGP Purple Garlic wins the 2012 FECOES

The Spanish Federation of Cofradías Vínicas y Gastronómicas (FECOES) has granted recognition and an award at the seventh edition of the National Awards dedicated to culinary craftsmanship, to the Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) Purple Garlic of Pedroñeras in the Institution's agrifood category.

The award will be presented on Saturday, November 17 in the auditorium of the University of Cordoba coinciding with the celebration of the X National Gathering Cofradías Vínicas y Gastronómicas taking place in Cordoba. The President of the PGI, the Cuenca José María Pacheco, institutional authorities, media, winners from other regions and categories will be present.
