Belgium: VLAM looks back on successful Fruit Attraction
It was the first time that VLAM visited the fair. It set up a mutual stand with Calsa, Devos Group, Vanco Belgium and Vergro. The stand took up 32m² and a large display wall showed attractive product photos and a detailed product presentation of various fruit and vegetables. Big spheres hanging on the ceiling, representing the Atomium in Brussels, contained an array of Belgian products like apples, paprika and tomatoes.
Besides VLAM, Fruit Attraction was attended by Belgian Veiling Hoogstraten and BFV.
This year’s Fruit Attraction, which is getting bigger each year, was visited by delegates from Scandinavia, Italy, Russia, France and even South America. Trade between Belgium and Spain is stable. Most popular produce includes leeks, tomatoes, lettuce, peppers and chicory. Popular fruit include pears, apples and strawberries.
