Spain: Gran Canaria promotes Valsequillo strawberry
Cabildo’s agricultural adviser, José Miguel Álamo, states the Cran Canaria strawberry is of excellent quality and deserves promotion by the local administration. The intended promotional campaign is meant to stimulate the industry, in particular in the Valsequillo region where cultivation yields almost 50% of the total crop.
Álamo says the Gran Canaria Calidad label guarantees quality and will also serve as a brand of approval by local authorities.
