Germany: Niels Johansen to head OPDR Corporate Sales Department

Niels Johansen, 44, has been part of the management team of the Short Sea and Logistics Provider Oldenburg-Portugiesische Dampfschiffs-Rhederei (OPDR) in Hamburg since 1st August 2012. As Director of Corporate Sales he is responsible for OPDR’s sales activities.

In close cooperation with OPDR’s own sales offices in Hamburg, Rotterdam and Valencia as well as OPDR‘s 40 sales agencies in Europe and North Africa, Niels Johansen aims to promote OPDR products. “Together with my team, I will take steps to generate further growth with particular focus on Corporate Key Account Management and Tender Management”, says Johansen.

“We already offer our customers multimodal logistics solutions which we want to extend and further develop“, states Till Ole Barrelet, Managing Director of OPDR. “Niels Johansen has extensive knowledge with multimodal transportation and therefore can support us in our growth process.” Danish born Niels Johansen has 20 years experience in the transport industry. He has lived in Germany since 2003 and previously worked as European Sales Manager at DFDS.
