Euro Pool System:
Service center expanded on Mallorca
Since July 2012, Euro Pool System has managed a new service center in Mercapalma, near Palma on the island of Mallorca. In November 2012, the service center was also extended with a sorter for LPR pallets. The location is one of the results of the intensive relationship with the Spanish retailer Eroski in the field of reverse logistics. In recent years, Euro Pool System have installed different service centers close to Eroski distribution centers (DCs).
The new service cener Euro Pool System provides all return flows from the Eroski DC in Mallorca. This amounts to taking, sorting, washing and distribution of packages, but also handling other reusable items such as pallets or roll cages. Moreover, disposal of waste cardboard and plastic is part of the service package. Although Euro Pool System has set up the Service center for Eroski, it can also be used for other customers. The center is located near the main fruit and vegetable traders, so there are good opportunities to offer other customers on the island a similar service.
