Germany: Record heights for potato crop

In the German state of Baden-Württemberg, the potato harvest is still in full swing, but it does look like this year is going to be an all-time high. Yield so far is 45,000 kg per ha. Last year, the total was 43,160 kg, while the average is 36,000 kg.

The range has decreased since last year with 250 ha, leading to an anticipated harvest of 246,000 tons. In comparison: average yield for the past six years is 211,000 tons. Last year 247,000 tons of potatoes was harvested.
