Netherlands: Techmek supply Beekenkamp with unique sorting machine

Beekenkamp was in need of a new generation sorting machine for its tomato exit program, which combines industrial reliability with unprecedented flexibility, outstanding sorting performance, high capacity and sensitive handling of plants in the machine.

The machine is used for tomato plants and especially those, which are to be grafted. With these the stem diameter is accurately measured to 0.1 mm. This is one of the most important measuring criteria for a successful grafting result. The height of the plant and the size of the leaves are measured as well.

The machine has been designed in such a way that it actually can be used for all trays used in horticulture and young plants and changing to another product will take about half an hour and will require only a limited investment when adding an extra size.

This sorting machine is the first one using industrial robots, which results in a level of reliability and trouble free working seldom achieved thus far in horticulture.

Techmek is a North Italian machinery factory specialising in machines and installations for suppliers of plants, but with a lot of experience in the industry in which our life has its roots.

On the Horti Fair stand number 09.0509 more information about this unique machine is available, but you may also telephone for more information to 06 2845 8828
