US (CA): Pomegranate harvest is bountiful

It's pomegranate harvest time in the Central Valley. The valley produces almost all of the nation's supply of pomegranates and this year's crop is expected to be a good one with sweeter, larger-sized fruit.

The second annual Madera Pomegranate Festival begins Saturday and runs through November 3rd at the Madera Municipal Airport. The free event includes live music, wine tasting and children's activities.
