AU: GP Graders wins two Export Awards

GP Graders was proud to be announced the winner of the Governor of Victoria Export Awards 2012 for Small to Medium Manufacturer Award and then went on to win the overall Innovation Excellence Award as Victoria’s most innovative exporter.

In accepting the Award, Stuart Payne, Director said “This is a proud achievement for our company and staff and great professional recognition for the export of our world’s best products.”

The company is particularly proud to be recognised for Innovation Excellence. The world’s leading manufacturer of cherry machinery, GP Graders has a longstanding tradition of innovation.

The new AirJet cherry grader with defect is a world first and grades cherries according to colour, size, shape and defects. Much R&D was undertaken in order to overcome the challenges inherent in defect grading cherries. The technology has been installed at market leading packing operations in four continents to great success. The defect grader removes 80% of defects resulting in up to 70% reduction in staffing costs and a higher quality, more consistent packout.
GP Graders will be going to Canberra in November as finalists in the Australian Export Awards.
