Cencosud and Walmart, interested in Carrefour

As in Greece, Colombia could be the next big sale for Carrefour, according to information revealed by the newspaper Valor Economico, specialized in economics from Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The newspaper attributed the information to sources that follow the operation and which confirm that Cencosud (from Chile) and Walmart (from the U.S.) would be in talks with the French chain.

"Carrefour is considering selling chain operations in Colombia with some of the companies that expressed interest in buying their business," it was pointed out.

The article confirmed it could prove that in recent months the French company had contact with the Chilean company and the American one.
