Germany: Rewe renews its slogan

Rewe, the German retailer, has decided to no longer use its slogan 'Jeden Tag ein bisschen besser' (‘A little better every day’), according to website Fruchthandel.de. The six-year-old mantra is being replaced by 'Besser leben' (‘Better living’).

“The new slogan is meant to boost the Rewe name as a familiar one to consumers,” says chief of marketing Marcus Haus. Rewe is relatively young – six years – but has already gained foothold in the German retail industry. “We have come a long way,” says Haus, “but from now on we want to place customer benefits on the foreground of all our communication.”
