The first steps towards commercial success in North America for this New Zealand developed variety are now underway following the release of budwood from quarantine.
The US Plant Patent will give vital protection for the proposed growing and marketing programme of Premier Star in the USA.
Marketer DMP hold the exclusive marketing rights for Premier Star worldwide on behalf of the variety owner Premier Star Ltd. DMP announce the appointment of Earth Source Trading Inc. to control the planting and marketing of the variety in North America.
Earth Source Trading have been involved in the early development of Premier Star, marketing New Zealand produced fruit in the USA for the last five years.
