Spain: 10% export growth to countries outside EU

Spanish export of fresh produce to destinations outside the EU has increased with 10% compared to 2011. According to data published by FEPEX the first half of 2012 saw a total of 485,777 tons find its way across EU borders.

The increase owes much to shipments heading for Russia and Switzerland. Export to Russia amounted to 149,179 tons, a 5% rise. Export to the Swiss increased with 2%, with a total of 87,881 tons.

Third place goes to Norway with a grand total of 55,968 tons.
