Spain: Brazilian fruit producers to participate in Fruit Attraction 2012
The Fruit Attraction has become an important business tool for Brazilian fruit sector. Besides inciting marketing of fresh fruits and vegetables, the event brings together importers, exporters, suppliers and delegations of countries with interest in creating business linkages in one of the largest fairs news and industry trends. In the 2011 edition, nearly 560 companies exhibited their products, an increase of 24% compared to the 2010 edition.
Among the Brazilian exhibitors will be the Abanorte, Gibran, Itacitrus Agroindustrial, Rio Doce and Exportaminas that promote fruits like banana, mango, lemon, tangerine, avocado, guava, fig, among others, in order to present the potential of brazilian fruit trees along the distributors, retailers and industry segment fruit from several countries.
Brazil is the third largest fruit producer with 42 million tons. According to the industry, 28% of the total produced in the country goes to the export market. Only in 2011, Brazil exported to Spain the equivalent of 77,360 tons of fresh fruit and processed 2963 tons.
