Germany: Local growers sell via Rewe supermarket

The 'Vereinigung der Direktvermarkter NRW' started selling products
branded as 'Landmarkt' in three Cologne Rewe branches. Growers of this
association for direct sales were present at the Köln Arcaden mall last Friday,
to present their wares and inform consumers. Naturally, they also gave out
taste samples to convince the citizens of Cologne of their quality and freshness.
Currently, twelve companies belonging to the association supply the three
branches in Cologne with their products. The association is planning to supply
to more Rewe branches in the coming weeks and months, namely the ones in
Heinsberg and Düsseldorf.
