"We expect a very rational and balanced campaign, both for supply and demand, and everything reinforced by a high level of quality, as well as the excellent work being done by operators, who have established distribution channels for Valencian citrus both in the European Union and the Russian market," he said.
In the Control Board we also consider "a priority" to continue developing promotional campaigns which allow for a better commercial positioning, and to continue maintaining the "high reputation" of Valencian citrus.
Despite the economic crisis, which has severely damaged the citrus sector, we believe that this campaign will allow us to recover the hope that Valencian citrus producers seem to have lost due to the low prices they have been suffering in the past few years," affirmed Juan.
During the current campaign there are 6,308 registered producers and 24,668 plots of land, which is a surface of 17,946 hectares with a production of commercialised citrus amounting to 14,330,235 tonnes.
