Coming soon in Europe first asparagus treated with FIT technology
On 10 September 2012, after the installation and the functional test of the system, Camposol - a world leader in the production of white asparagus - just wanted to verify the validity of the FIT process by shipping few pallets to verify the shelf life during the transport by ship to Europe.
The interest of the South American producers and exporters on FIT technology is due to the possibility of avoiding the high cost of air transport to reach the eastern markets, Asia and Europe.

Meanwhile, Camposol is already planning to extend the application of FIT technology, to other products such as grapes, blueberries and avocados, of which the company has very large volumes of production.
FIT technology is therefore a strategy to respond to a market more and more attentive to the healthiness and freshness of excellent products, regardless of the original area of production.
