Lettuce supply from German production is decreasing, reports the German Duitsland Agricultural Information Company (AMI). Apart from the fact that a number of German growing areas have had harvest losses due to weather conditions, growing is also not going well at the moment due to the lower temperatures.
In addition to the domestic market, where the turnover is stagnant at the moment, Italy is playing an important role as a buyer. This has ensured a significant increase in supply lately. The growers prices are currently set due to the limited supply forecast for the near future.
