With Barbary Plante G2 technology

Dominican Republic to become a garlic and onions exporter

The Dominican Republic could become an exporter of beans, garlic and onions without subsidies, aided by the Barbary Plante technology, whose success in reducing costs, increasing production and improving quality has been demonstrated.

This announcement was made by the president of Fertilia Dominicana, Julio César Contreras; the representative of this technology in the country.

He said that with Barbary Plante G2 as a technology platform of the local agricultural sector, the country will revolutionise agriculture in a positive way, multiplying direct contributions to the Agricultural Gross Domestic Product.

He explained that his firm has demonstrated the effectiveness of this technology in strategic crops for the Dominican Republic, such as bananas, onions, garlic, cassava, sweet potatoes, taro, vegetables, fruit trees (avocado, mango, etc.) and forestry, among others.
