Pacbelimex has around 15 years experience in exporting fruit , vegetables and potatoes. "Our major products are tomatoes, capsicum, carrots and cabbage and for fruits strawberries, apples and pears," said manager Valérie Braems. Eastern Europe is a big part of our export. As much as 45% of our products are being exported to Czech Republic, ukrain, Poland and Russia.” 
"In the beginning, France was the main buyer, but that's decreasing slowly . At the moment we are looking for new possibilities in Asia," Valérie explains . "For Eastern Europe, for the last 5 years, the market has evolved from a price based market to a market of quality product.. Our most important customers are retailers and wholesalers. At the moment, a lot of change is taking place with the retailers in Russia. The retailers begin to buy directly from western europe and try to avoid the russian wholesalers. The most difficult aspect of trading with these countries is the different way of thinking.”
"Each belgian company has its own specialization and Pacbelimex is focusing on vegetables and strawberries," she says. "A part of our products is marketed under the Belgian Flandria-label. We also have our own brands, namely, Delicious and Pacbel. Our customers are guaranteed to be delivered the highest quality with these brands. Delicious is being used for strawberries and Pacbel for vegetables. "Our strawberries are available the whole year from Belgium and Spain. Direct growers are exclusively selected for these products.”
