OPDR opens regional office in Spain

The newly created and first 100% owned OPDR entity in Spain is operational as from today. "OPDR Iberia S.L.U." is located in Valencia and has been formed to drive the expansion of OPDR’s business in and out of Spain. This move is in line with the growth strategy of the Short Sea Shipping & Logistics specialist Oldenburg-Portugiesische Dampfschiffs-Rhederei (OPDR).

OPDR has long been a major player in Spain and regularly calls various Spanish ports as well as operates an extensive logistics set up including the operation of its own train service. "Spain is a key market for us," states John Nielsen, Managing Director of OPDR Iberia. "We have unrivalled presence and are well placed to expand this further. It was therefore a logical step to set up our own regional OPDR office in Spain."
