Spain: Gruventa seeking foothold at Asia Fruit Logistica
The fruit and vegetables exporter Gruventa will participate in the Asia Fruit Logistica fair, held from 5 to 7 September in Hong Kong, seeking to establish a stronger foothold in the Asian market.
Asia Fruit Logistica is an internationally recognised fair, bringing together 332 firms from 33 countries and attended by buyers from 63 different nations interested in the distribution of fresh produce in the Asian market.
For Fermín Sánchez, Gruventa's general manager, participating in this fair is a unique opportunity to learn about fresh produce distribution in Asia, "where we are gradually introducing highly demanded, premium quality products."
Optimal demand
Additionally, Sánchez explains that "the demand for Spanish fruits and vegetables in Asia is very dynamic, and our products are becoming increasingly popular, which is why we consider it very important to participate in this prestigious fair."
In the same line, Sánchez points out that one of the main challenges in this market is promotion, as Spanish products are still a little unknown for Asian consumers, making it very important to invest in promotion and marketing campaigns.
Gruventa sells 20,000 tonnes of fruits and vegetables yearly, mainly in the European Union, the United States and Asia, and they are partnered with over 25 horticultural producers in Spain.
