"New certified organic line and new sales in Europe"

With offices in Canals and Barcelona, Spain, and in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the firm Alquimia Fruits sells a wide range of products in both hemispheres, including citrus, seeded fruits, stone fruits, persimmon, pomegranate, melon, pumpkin, sweet potato and garlic.

They sell with a brand that meets consumer demands and are in possession of all quality certifications.

"We are currently dealing with the season of Royal Gala apples and Ercolini pears, transporting them in containers," explains Manuel Baides, from Alquimia Fruits. "This season is characterised by a decrease in volume due to climatological reasons, and consequently, by better prices."

The firm has just started exporting with a new organic fruit certification, and "thanks to tacler, we began collaborating with the firm Sunfresh, from the UK, striking a deal involving organic plums," said Baides.

Currently the firm is exporting approximately 8 weekly containers by sea, 2 weekly trucks (to Russia) and 8 to 10 pallets by air, mainly destined to catering companies, markets and supermarkets, always buying and selling the product at fixed prices.

The main export markets are the Middle East, Russia, Asia and Latin America.

"Our objective is to enter new markets in Europe and increase our export volumes of citrus by 20 to 30%."
