Shipping agent Milestone Fresh strong on Asian market with containers

Shipping agent Milestone Fresh was established last year by Milestone Logistics and Co van Es. Various Dutch fruit and vegetable importers use the services of this logistic service provider, which focuses on fruit/vegetables and flowers/plants from abroad. The focus for Milestone Fresh is on the import from America, South Africa and Asia.

Milestone Fresh also offers a solution for the outgoing goods. "At the moment we are strong with the import of containers to and from Asia. We are active in China, Thailand and Taiwan as well as other places," explains Peter van der Klift. "Here we can already offer rather sharp tariffs and we have first class possibilities with various departures per week and quick transit times."

The transport of containers from Costa Rica started last year. "We started with Costa Rican plants, but through our agent we also transported melons and pineapples," reflects Peter. "In the meantime the supply of pineapples from Costa Rica is increasing and we can make interesting offers for various departures per week. Our network has increased and we can offer solutions for surrounding countries, such as Honduras, Nicaragua, Guatemala and El Salvador.

Spain is also a destination for the AEO-certified company. "We offer hq reefers to Barcelona, Valencia, Las Palmas, SC Tenerife and Vigo. Each week we supply an update of all containers, which are being transported together with the expected ETA's. We have a worldwide network of 112 agents and because we buy sea container transport in a large quantity we are in a position to offer sharp prices" Peter concludes.
