US: Giumarra Nogales grows sales staff

Giumarra Nogales announces the expansion of its sales team with two new hires, Ernest Valencia and Tom Frudden.

Mr. Valencia is a graduate of Arizona State University, where he received a degree in business. He entered the produce industry upon graduating and most recently worked in sales for Farmer’s Best International, based in Nogales, Ariz.

Mr. Frudden received a crop science degree from California Polytechnic University. He most recently served as sales manager for Red Rooster Sales, based in Firebaugh, Calif.

“It’s hard to express how pleased I am to have Tom and Ernest joining our team. Both of these gentlemen grew up in the produce industry and are seasoned professionals at the top of their game,” says Gil Munguia, division manager of Giumarra Nogales. “We are fortunate to have assembled a sales team of this caliber in Nogales.”

Mr. Valencia specializes in the dry fruit and vegetable category, while Mr. Frudden has extensive experience in the tomato category. Both men will be responsible for selling Giumarra Nogales’s full line of vegetables and Fair Trade Certified melons grown in Mexico, including a line of USDA Certified Organic products.

“We are pleased with the growth of our sales staff and the new addition of Fair Trade Certified product this year. All aspects of our upcoming season are really falling into place,” says Mr. Munguia.
