first four containers of yellow melons have arrived

Netherlands: Hispa starts Brazilian melon season

The first yellow melons from Brazil arrived at Hispa yesterday. "We are the first in the market," says Miguel Gonzalez proudly. The melons are on sale under the brand Mossero, which is supplied exclusively by Hispa. "The quality of the melons is great, with a good brix, which is good because the quality of the Spanish yellow melons is still acceptable at the moment, but is decreasing fast."

The melons arrived a week earlier than last year. Yesterday four containers arrived at Hispa, and Miguel expects weekly arrivals. "The demand is good at the moment and the prices are satisfactory. We also expect Galias, Cantaloupe, Charentais, Piel de Sapo and watermelons. We start with Galia and Cantaloupe at the beginning of week 36," concludes Miguel.
