New RoRo service between Spain and Italy

ASA Lines launches a new service for service suppliers of the transport industry as a true alternative, with have lower transit times, costs, CO2 emissions and risks during the crossing by road between Spain and Italy.



The Service commenced on the 4th August 2012 with two calls every week in Tarragona and Savona with a transit time of 24 hours.

The vessel is the SCANDOLA, she can carry around 100 trucks of 16.5m each, has more than 50 reefer plugs for trucks and containers and can offer exclusive accommodation for the drivers. The departures from Tarragona are every Saturday and Wednesday; and from Vado every Tuesday and Friday.

ASA Lines BV is a relatively new company thanks to the efforts of entrepreneur companies from Spain, Holland and Italy.

Last year Spain sent almost 700 thousand tons of fruit and vegetables to Italy and imported from there more than 124 thousand tons.
