US (NY): Bejo on farm field day featuring planting equipment demonstrations

Bejo Seeds Geneva Research and Demonstration facility will be hosting their annual Open House and Demonstration Trials, August 28-29, 2012. Visitors will be able to tour demonstration beds and trials and learn how to use all these unique vegetables at cooking demonstrations.

In addition to the Trials and Demonstrations, other special activities and attractions are offered. A nice summer salad —without lettuce! Bejo offers a range of greens that will perform very well in summer heat to produce fresh and appealing summer salads— without any lettuce! Just Say "No" to Late Blight! Growers can choose varieties that have good resistance to the most destructive disease — Late Blight. Growing tomatoes was never this easy! Black Rot Resistant Cabbage—The Bejo cabbage breeding program has worked hard to develop cabbage varieties with good resistance to Black Rot. New for 2012 live Planting Equipment Demonstrations! Visit with farm manager Mitch Young, and see all the different types of planters used on the farm. Learn how to set up the planters and get hands-on use of them in a test bed!
