British Leafy Salads Association Conference

"UK: Delegates invited to "Make More of Salad"

Potential delegates are being advised to make a note in their diaries that the sixth British Leafy Salads Association Conference is on Wednesday 14th November 2012, at the Kingsgate Conference Centre, Peterborough.

The conference is being organised by the British Leafy Salads Association Ltd, which represents leafy salad growers, both outdoor and glasshouse, packers, fresh cut producers and associated industries across the country.

Dr Ana Allende, CEBAS-CSIC, Spain will update the UK on safety issues in leafy greens, whilst James Walton, Chief Economist at IGD, will talk about economic and social change: impacts on food and drink businesses.

Bauke van Lenteren, the Flavour and Convenience Manager of Rijk Zwaan will update delegates on the global leafy salad market.

Delegates will range from growers and marketing specialists to technical personnel and produce buyers.

A trade exhibition will run alongside the conference; if you would like to receive booking details you are advised to contact the BLSA office.

The association says they are indebted to BASF and Rijk Zwaan for their generous sponsorship of this event.
