South Africa: ClemenGold sets sights on gold with promotional push

ClemenGold has unveiled details of its promotional campaign to support the premium brand of easy-peeler citrus across Europe this year.

The new promotional drive is rolling out in retailers across Europe, including the UK, Germany, Austria and The Netherlands. It aims to reinforce the superior quality, taste and freshness of ClemenGold to existing customers, as well as welcome new consumers into the global family.

This will be the third year that ClemenGold has been promoted in the UK market. Activity in the UK this year will include in-store tasting and point of sales activities, consumer competitions and online advertising, as well as samples distributed to food bloggers and journalists working in the trade and consumer press.

The ClemenGold Company has also placed someone in the market to make sure that the quality promise is kept across the board.

Abs van Rooyen, Chief Executive Officer of the ClemenGold Company said: "We are very excited about the potential to further establish the ClemenGold brand with European customers. The forecast for this season looks good, with some high quality fruit coming from South Africa. We’re also expanding our supply base this season, with fruit from South America, Peru in particular."



ClemenGold is also developing markets in other parts of the world, such as Hong Kong, Canada and mainland China, and branded product will appear on-shelf across various retailers in these markets.
