Pipfruit New Zealand announces new board

Pipfruit NZ Inc. has announced its new Board for 2012/13 following their annual general meeting held this week in Nelson.
 
The new Board is:
 
Stephen Anderson, Taylor Corp, Hawkes Bay
Peter Beaven, independent grower representative, Hawke’s Bay
Andrew Common, Crasbornes, Hawke’s Bay
Stephen Darling, independent grower representative, Central Otago
Michael (Snow) Hardy, Turners and Growers, Auckland
Nadine Tunley, Energie Fruit, Nelson
Andrew van Workum, Mr Apple, Hawke’s Bay
 
Nadine Tunley has been elected Chair, succeeding Ian Palmer who has retired from the Board.
 
Pipfruit NZ Inc. Chief Executive, Alan Pollard, says "Those present at the AGM thanked Ian for his outstanding contribution to the industry as Chair for the past decade, leading the industry during significant change. The new Board has a great mix of representation, skills and experience. I am looking forward to working with them as we address the many challenges facing the industry and as we focus on our ultimate goal of achieving acceptable sustainable returns for our growers".
