US: CF Fresh brings organic to Asia Fruit Logistica
"We are pleased to see the good reputation American farmers enjoy throughout Asia," said Luis Acuña President of CF Fresh. "They do a good job of preserving the integrity of organics under the USDA organic label, regulated under the National Organic Program." That good reputation has carried throughout the region and made consumers amenable to organic apples.

"Many customers in Asia have been receptive to trying new varieties, and some customers buy quite an assortment of varieties," said Acuña. Though the Asian consumer's palate is growing and varies from region to region, he noted that Fuji apples were most in demand followed by Gala and Granny Smiths.
CF Fresh will use their time at the Fruit Logistica conference to connect with existing customers and engage potential new buyers in a region which has embraced organic apples with greater frequency.
"The conference gives us an opportunity to seek new business," said Steven Mackey Executive Vice President of CF Fresh. This year's Asia Fruit Logistica conference will take place in Hong Kong from September 5th through the 7th. CF Fresh will exhibit in the U.S.A. pavilion.
