BayWa grows with fruit and solar power

BayWa AG, Europe's largest wholesaler in agrarian products, has managed to enlarge it's turnover in the area of fruit and solar power in the period leading up to the summer. However, due to the drought in the United States the company expects setbacks from increased grain prices. A difficult market is also predicted in the area of building materials.

Chairman Klaus Josef Lutz expects 'an even better result' than last year from this year. The turnover increased in the first half of 2012 by 12% to 5.1 billion Euro. The profit before deduction of interest and tax increased by almost 3% to 91 million Euro.
