Russia: Biggest vegetable storing and processing facility under construction

A leading leasing company has made an investment to equip a logistical fruit and vegetable facility for long-term storage and primary processing of vegetables and root plants with capacity of 5,000 tons in Kabardino-Balkaria. This project will be the biggest in the whole Republic.

The price of the agreement, signed by MSP Leasing (subsidiary company of MSP Bank) and Yug-Region Ltd. (Mayskiy Town), is over 200 Million Roubles. The project was supported by Ministry of Agriculture and Food in Kabardino-Balkaria.

Leasing projects are becoming more and more popular among businessmen and regional authorities. The authorities see it as an effective mechanism for attracting investment into key industries into the region, as General Director of MSP Leasing, Mr. Alexey Akinidov explained.

As planned, the storage will start to function at its full project capacity in the last quarter of the current year. At the same time about 30 new jobs will be created.
