Brazil: National Mango Board holds 6th workshop

In 2011, Brazil has exported almost 6 million crates of mangoes to the US. On July 19, in Juazeiro, Brazil, the National Mango Board holds its 6th annual workshop. The event focuses on the qualities of fresh mango’s on today’s markets.
The workshop will be coordinated by Valexport and the Board. Both these parties serve the interest of, and conduct research for, the US Ministry of Agriculture. The main purpose is to increase mango consumption in the US. The event will be held in the Grand Hotel de Juazeiro between 8 and 5, and be translated into both Spanish and Portuguese. The workshop itself is mostly intended for producers, packagers, exporters and food safety professionals. The event provides current information on the US market, research, marketing and best practices.
