Gybels warehouse in Antwerp started in 2005 and is a division of Euro Gijbels. The Gybels company started off small with citrus fruit in the latter part of the 70's. "After that they grew gradually and today they offer a total range. We have grown by investing time and time again. We set ourselves apart by listening to the customer and providing speedy service," says Jelle Gybels and Yves van Bladel. Gybels started in various places. In July 2011 the company is now situated in a brand new building just outside the market. "It was necessary due to our rapid growth. We are enjoying our new location and Antwerp is an excellent place to trade," agree both men. Gybels fruit and vegetables currently have 12 members of staff.
Jelle, the managing director of Gybels, admits that a large portion of the vegetables are imported. "In order to deliver to our customers year round, we offer Belgian vegetables in the summer season and Spanish vegetables during the winter."

"Our main focus is the small traders in the Antwerp region," says Yves. "These are mostly foreign customers. An important development with our customers is that there are increasingly less market traders and more retailers. The market is currently in a downward spiral. Our customer appreciates that we think with them, grow together and listen to their questions. It is noticeable that there is more demand for quality products, which we offer to them. Our customers always have fresh products due to our quick delivery. A large portion of our customers come here to collect their products. Naturally we are open for to hear what they have to say which is very appreciated."
