Fresh Tex is growing as demand for tropicals increases

Due to the recent explosion of popularity with tropical fruits, Fresh Tex Produce has increased its Sales Team to account for the additional demand.

Fresh Tex Produce, LLC is a year round shipper of tropical fruits and vegetables, as well as chilli peppers and tomatoes out of Mexico. Because of the increased consumption and demand in the market place, it is important to have the correct personnel in place to service that demand. As a result, Fresh Tex has now added Chris Hoffman and Armando Palacios to its sales team.

Chris Hoffman, a native of the Rio Grande Valley and a Business Management graduate of Texas Tech University, takes up a role with Fresh Tex after a two year position handling outside sales for Glaziers. Upon leaving for Fresh Tex Chris was responsible for the higher end customers in the Southwest area. Chris will be tasked with keeping an account for the increased lime customers and then focus on growing the lime base with increased value offerings of the company's 2# bag programs and promotions.

Armando Palacios, also a native of the Rio Grande Valley, arrives at Fresh Tex after being in sales for Azteca Milling, the producer of milled corn under the brand known as Maseca. During his six years with Azteca Milling, Armando held the position of Executive Sales and was in charge of an 18 state area in the Northeast part of the United States. Armando brings a wide range of experience with ethnic products and how they are able work within a market. He will be focusing on building the chilli pepper and other ethnic items out of Mexico. Armando is fully bi-lingual in English and Spanish so he has the ability to expand the customer base throughout the market.

Adding two new sales positions to the team is an aggressive move, but the company feels that, with their sales experience and the confidence that company has in its Sun Crest label products, they will be able to adjust into produce sales with ease.

"The opportunity to find two new individuals for our sales team in such a short period of time was one we could not pass up." said Ryan Wolverton, Sales Manager for Fresh Tex & Tex Starr Distributing, "We are eager to have them out there selling our products because they have the professionalism and honesty to be a true asset for their customers as a shipper they can depend on."
