"In the future we'll keep working on extending the Fair Trade assortment"

Now also ready-to-eat-mango in Special Fruit's Fair Trade assortment

BestChoice is extending its assortment of Fair Trade products with ready to eat mangos from the Dominican Republic. This Caribbean island consists of fertile hills, valleys and rivers, essential for a qualitative cultivation. Special Fruit imports sweet, soft mangos from the South-West of the island, where the varieties Kent and Keitt can grow optimally.

"Our local grower has had years of experience in growing Fair Trade bananas. Now they are using these techniques - in which quality is central - for growing mangos. Special Fruit finds the Fair Trade principles very important. It gives us the chance to fight poverty with our trade activities. It stimulates the economic development of small scale growers. And it provides the necessary dialogue, transparency and respect. BestChoice Fair Trade mango's season runs until the end of August. The varieties are Kent and Keitt, calibres 6,7,8,9,10 and 12. They are packaged in liners of 4 kg with BestChoice and Fair Trade label. In the future Special Fruit will keep working in extending its Fair Trade assortment."
