Taiwan: Floods and rain wreck crops

Heavy rain in Taiwan has caused losses worth NT$548 million ($18.34 million US), according to the latest released statistics from the Council of Agriculture.

Amongst the damaged crops were watermelons, persimmons, papayas, leafy vegetables and tomatoes, which were wrecked by the rain and the subsequent floods.
